L’Equipe confirm that Paul Pogba is rejoining Manchester United for £100m

It is happening - Paul Pogba is coming home.

After weeks of speculation and posturing on both sides, Juventus' star player is rejoining the club he left four years ago as a mere teenager. Back then, Sir Alex Ferguson was the manager who would rather play Park Ji-Sung and Rafael da Silva in midfield than the precocious young Frenchman. Once his Old Trafford contract was up, Pogba wasted no time in plumping for Juve amidst fevered demand for his still fledgling talents. In Turin, the 23-year-old went on to blossom into one of the most sought-after players in world football. Now the man at the United helm is Jose Mourinho, and he along with Ed Woodward and a tag-team of super-agents Mino Raiola and Jorge Mendes, have finally made a very expensive correction to the club ever letting him go in the first place. Respected French journal L'Equipe, who have excellent connections to the player and his entourage, have confirmed that a deal has finally been struck for €120m (£100m) - plus bonuses.
