There was more confusion and drama than usual at the early weigh-ins for UFC Liverpool.

Every fighter bar one arrived in the two-hour window for early weigh-ins, as headliner Darren Till failed to show up to the scales. 11am came and went with no sign of Till but a UFC official then announced that, due to a family emergency, Till had been given an extra hour to make weight. The 25-year-old emerged from behind the curtain at 11.20am but failed to make weight, coming in at 174.5lbs. On Friday, Till admitted to JOE that he was facing a significant weight cut in the final 24 hours and it would appear that it got the better of him, although it is unknown how much of am impact his family emergency had on his ability to shed those final few pounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftZ8sIlFCF8 Till's scheduled opponent, Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson needed the towel to hit the target two hours earlier but he came in at the welterweight limit of 171lbs.
