Signing the former Liverpool captain was a statement of intent from Galaxy, as they looked to add to the star power of previous LA players like David Beckham while also enhancing the reputations of the 2014 MLS player of the year Robbie Keane.
After all, Gerrard is probably one of the biggest names in football. You would expect that everyone would know exactly who he is - but not the LA Galaxy kitman apparently.
During the team's recent 1-1 draw with San Jose, the former England captain was forced to wear a shirt with a pretty obvious spelling error on the back. Although the club's Twitter account were happy to take the piss out of the whole situation, it's pretty embarrassing to get your big name signing's name wrong...
