Surely even PSG wouldn’t go through with this? Surely?

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly offered Kylian Mbappe control of sporting operations at the club in a desperate attempt to keep him in France.

The 23-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, with reports suggesting that he is close to officially confirming a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

However, with just six weeks until the Frenchman becomes a free agent, the Ligue 1 champions are believed to have made the striker a sensational offer in an attempt to stop him departing from Le Parc des Princes.

Kylian Mbappe PSG control

PSG offer Mbappe chance to be ‘owner of the project’

As reported by late night football discussion show, El Chiringuito, PSG have offered to make Mbappe ‘the owner of the project’ from next season onwards, with the report adding that the striker would have a say in changing the manager and who his teammates are.

Should PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi give the former Monaco man control of sporting operations, it would allow him to have his say on the future of current boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Mbappe would also receive a contract offer that would make him the highest paid player in the world, with Sky Sports claiming that the Parisians would be willing to give him a staggering deal worth around £4million a month.

Sky Sports add that he would also receive a signing-on bonus of up to £100m if he re-signed with PSG, which would include concessions over image rights and any other relevant bonuses.

Mbappe ‘expected’ to make Madrid announcement soon

Newspapers in Spain have claimed that Mbappe will make an official announcement about his expected move to Madrid after Carlo Ancelotti’s side have played Liverpool in the Champions League final on May 28.

The Frenchman has enjoyed a successful season in Paris, helping the club to regain the league title while scoring 25 goals and providing 17 assists – topping the charts for both statistics.
