"I've got a long-standing relationship with the manager from Rangers and with Scotland," he said. "He's someone I really respect and I like the way his team tries to play. I think it will really suit my game.
"Hopefully, I can bring some experience and help the boys get the season kick-started."
Dundee currently sit at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership having lost all three of their league games this season, scoring just once in the process.
When Miller makes his debut, Dundee will become the sixth Scottish club he has played for during a career which has also seen him represent clubs in England, Wales, Turkey and Canada.
