Kate Wright’s touching New Year’s post about Rio Ferdinand

Kate Wright and Rio Ferdinand’s relationship was widely rumoured for the majority of last year, and after the couple made it official, fans loved seeing pictures of the pair together on social media. Yes, Kate has shared a few updates with her new beau and his three children, Lorenz, Tate and Tia, however, her latest is definitely the most touching one yet. Taking to Instagram this week, Kate shared a picture with Rio and another of his three kids, saying:

“2017 – the hardest but most rewarding year yet! Ups and downs but I have gained four of the most precious people. “Happy New Year everyone, I hope your year is filled with health and happiness. Keep your loved ones close.”

Kate celebrated Christmas with the family this year and Rio shared a look at their strong pyjama game on Instagram with an adorable picture in front of the tree. Kate and Rio have been together for over a year, with Rio saying it’s “the happiest we’ve been” since the passing of his wife, Rebecca in 2015.
