Klopp vowed after the defeat to Sevilla on Wednesday night that he would be making changes to his squad and it seems the 22-year-old will be his first summer signing.
News of Karius's arrival will mean increased competition for Simon Mignolet, who has remained Liverpool's first choice goalkeeper since Klopp arrived at the club in October.
