Jurgen Klopp is being very fair as Danny Ings eyes move away from Liverpool

Danny Ings looks set to leave Liverpool this summer in pursuit of regular first-team football.

Several reports claim the Reds forward is eager to increase his playing time and is hopeful of a move in the current transfer window.

Ings will meet back up with his teammates next week, when preseason training begins for Liverpool players who are not involved in the World Cup.

Jurgen Klopp was hopeful of keeping hold of Ings because he rates the striker highly and the pair have a great relationship.

But the Reds manager understands Ings' frustrations and, rather kindly, he will allow the club to sell the 25-year-old for a reasonable price in order to make him more appealing to prospective buyers, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Klopp is such a fan of Ings' that he wants what's best for the player and will not play hardball with clubs over the striker who has only made 25 appearances for Liverpool in three seasons.

Ings' time at Anfield has been mired by injury but he hopes that a move away will see him recapture the kind of form that saw him rewarded with an England cap in 2015.

Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, West Ham, Leicester City and Wolves are all believed to be interested in bringing him on board.
