Very kind of Jurgen

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was filmed passing beers to supporters after his side’s win against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds were 3-1 winners at Selhurst Park and took a 2-0 lead going into half-time. Virgil Van Dijk opened the scoring with a bullet header from a corner before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made it two with a low effort.

Patrick Vieira’s side didn’t lie down however and caused the away side plenty of problems – eventually breaking the Liverpool resilience after Odsonne Édouard finished off a tidy move which started from a defence-splitting pass from Jeffrey Schlupp.

The hosts looked more than capable of going on to find an equaliser, however controversy marred Liverpool’s third after referee Kevin Friend awarded a penalty to the away side after Diogo Jota was adjudged to have been fouled by Vicente Guaita.

A lengthy look at the decision from the man on VAR, Craig Pawson, led to the penalty being awarded – sparking anger from both Palace fans in the ground and on social media.

Fabinho scored the resulting spot-kick to take the Reds nine points behind Manchester City with a game in hand on the league leaders.

Keen to celebrate the win with his fans, Klopp was feeling in a generous mood as he kindly offered some of the travelling supporters some beers.

In the video, the Liverpool boss can be seen walking off the bus with a bright smile across his face as he was greeted by chants and calls of his name.

Klopp then handed over the beers before retreating back to the bus as Liverpool now prepare for a week off from the Premier League due to the pre-arranged winter break.
