Jose Mourinho slams Manchester United fans for fair-weather support

Manchester United supporters have grown to love Jose Mourinho.
He was criticised and derided when manager of Chelsea for his mind games and pettiness, but it's a different case entirely when he's your manager. The Old Trafford faithful have learnt that all the characteristic Jose-isms are suddenly great fun when he's winding up the opposition rather than you. But the Portuguese's latest comments probably won't go down quite as well, considering the target his ire is the fans who chant his name every week. Speaking to MUTV after Saturday's hard fought 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, Mourinho made his unhappiness with the Red Army patently obvious. He wasn't happy with the fair-weather support Romelu Lukaku has received from the club for whom he has already scored 7 goals in 10 Premier League games. The Belgian marksman has failed to find the net in his last 5 games and Mourinho isn't happy with the fans' reaction:"I would like the supporters to explain to me why they don’t support [Romelu Lukaku so much. "He gives everything and I think it is not fair when scoring the goal or not scoring the goal makes the whole difference. "I don’t think it is fair at all. So I’m a bit disappointed [in the fans]. But not with [Lukaku]. With him I am very pleased."It follows on from Jose's unhappiness at the boos that greeted Anthony Martial replacing Marcus Rashford against Spurs. He told Sky Sports:
"I really don’t understand some reactions why. Are they [the fans] Red Devils? Sometimes I don’t know because they [strikers] work amazingly well. "Today there were two strikers playing together against three top central defenders – the best we have in Europe – and they had to do the defensive job of pressing them when they were coming out with the ball which they do very well because they have big routines of playing with three in the back."
