What has Jurgen Klopp done to anger the hamstring gods?

Whatever it is, they’re definitely getting their revenge in some style as Jordon Ibe has become the latest Liverpool player to be struck down with a hamstring injury, compounding Klopp’s woes in a congested period of fixtures.

The Liverpool Echo report that Ibe has been complaining about a pain in the back of his thigh since the Reds’ 1-0 victory over Stoke in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final on Tuesday night.

Incredibly, the winger is the seventh player who is currently spending a spell on the sidelines with the very same injury.

Philippe Coutinho, Dejan Lovren, Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Jordan Rossiter and Martin Skrtel are all also struggling with hamstring problems which would lead you to believe that the Reds are warming up for training by downing a pint of stout and going for sprints.

Surely they can’t end up with a full XI of players with hamstring injuries…
