JOE’s Fantasy Football Tips – Week 4

Tom Victor

Last week was a testing time for fantasy football fans.

So many of us were left frustrated by Callum Wilson’s hat-trick away at West Ham, with more than 36,000 people leaving the Bournemouth man on their bench.

That’s left a few people looking for a big week to help them bounce back, and our three tips for the upcoming Premier League fixtures can help you do just that.

After all, we don’t all have a spare £13.2m to drop on Sergio Aguero.

Philippe Coutinho – Midfield – £8.1m

If Callum Wilson is able to tear apart West Ham’s defence, imagine what Coutinho can do.

The Brazilian got Liverpool’s season off to a perfect start against Stoke, and almost added to his tally against Arsenal, so his second goal of the season looks like it’s just around the corner.

Luis Suarez has called Coutinho his favourite Premier League player, too, and who are we to argue with the former Player of the Year?

Geoff Cameron – Defence – £4.5m

The Stoke man will surely be on a high after tucking away the winning penalty as the Potters crept into the third round of the League Cup.

Next up for Mark Hughes’ side is a home game against former boss Tony Pulis, and we’re anticipating a tight affair.

Having played in pretty much every single outfield position during his time in MLS, Cameron is as good a bet as any to make the breakthrough.

Scott Sinclair – Midfield – £4.9m

Sunderland have impressed us this season, but for the wrong reasons. You have to admit, though, letting Santiago Vergini leave and ending up with a weaker back four takes some doing.

Villa have spent big this summer but it’s one of the less heralded arrivals who’s staking a claim for a run in the starting line-up, with Sinclair scoring a hat-trick in the cup victory over Notts County.

With fellow winger Adama Traore an injury doubt, Sinclair ought to be given a chance to impress against one of the league’s most suspect back-lines.
