A report in the Mirror suggests that Jose Mourinho is looking to repair Chelsea's woeful start to the season by bringing in some new faces to Stamford Bridge.
Vardy, along with Tottenham's Mousa Dembele, is one of the players the champions will move for in the January transfer window.
Dembele is reportedly valued at £20m and Chelsea hope to complete both deals for £40m.
Leicester would be justified in asking more than £20m for a man that could break Ruud van Nistelrooy's record of scoring in 10 consecutive games against Manchester United.
