Say what you like about James McClean, but he’s never boring.
The Republic of Ireland international has caused a lot of controversy in his time. He has clashed with fans both online and in real life, been given his marching orders for some ‘horror’ tackles and even called Jurgen Klopp “an idiot” – and that’s just this season.
If you have any interest in Premier League football, it seems impossible that you would not have heard of the West Brom midfielder. That is, unless you’re Sunderland defender Lamine Kone.

The Ivorian joined the Black Cats on loan in January from French side Lorient, so we’ll excuse him for not knowing who McClean is.
But the Irishman was not so forgiving, issuing Kone with this ‘helpful’ reminder.
