He wouldn't start many games

You read that correctly

This week has been a mixed bag for Jack Wilshere. On Wednesday he found out that he would not be going to the World Cup with England, which he didn’t take particularly well. But in more positive news for Wilshere, L’Equipe are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain could be a possible destination for him. Yes, PSG. The French champions, could sign the 25-year-old, injury prone, Jack Wilshere.

His contract runs out this summer and he is yet to agree a new one with his boyhood club, and with Arsène Wenger departing, it is increasingly likely that Wilshere may have to leave Arsenal this summer.

Many thought that Wilshere wouldn’t have much of a choice of clubs to join this summer given his injury record and the stagnation in his development, but the chance of a move to PSG might have lifted his spirits. The French champions already have Adrien Rabiot, Marco Verratti and Julain Draxler, so Wilshere would not start many games. But he’d surely rather head to Paris than say, West Ham.

The reports state that Wilshere’s services have been presented to PSG by his representatives, so they could just turn him down, but given that he’s available on a free, it is feasible.
