Is this the worst football team in Britain?

It's not looking good...

Tom Victor

There hasn’t been much for Blackpool fans to cheer about lately.

In 2015 alone they have been relegated from the Championship, seen more than 25 players depart, and had to put up with a club social media account labelling their fans “typical a**ehole w**kers”.

It’s little wonder chairman Karl Oyston isn’t the most popular man right now.

If that wasn’t enough, defeat at home to Burton Albion extended their winless streak to a massive 22 games, dating all the way back to January. Of the 11 players who started their last win, at home to Brighton, only one is still at the club.

After playing in the Premier League just four years ago, they now sit in the relegation zone in League 1, and last season’s manager Lee Clark has moved to pastures new.

Ironically Clark, who oversaw four 4-0 defeats as the Seasiders closed the 2014/15 season with 18 games without a win, was the man in charge for Huddersfield Town’s incredible 43-game unbeaten run back in 2011.
