Injured Crystal Palace defender blames hacker for bizarre response to Gerard Pique

When in doubt, blame a hacker.

Away from the on-pitch drama of a fascinating night of Champions League action, Twitter was abuzz with talk of Real Madrid's controversial victory over Bayern Munich. Bayern's Arturo Vidal was harshly sent off while referee Viktor Kassai seemed to bottle a decision to give Real midfielder Casemiro a second yellow card. It didn't take long for Real defender Sergio Ramos to respond to the latest accusation from his international teammate. "He should rewind and look back to the PSG game and see if he thinks the same about the referees," Ramos said, according to Marca. And as the Spanish compatriots went at it, a bizarre name interjected. Crystal Palace's Pape Souare, who remains injured after an unfortunate car accident last September, got involved by responding to Pique with the below tweet that he has since deleted. https://twitter.com/thfcKene/status/854445968573562880 Souare seemingly took umbrage with Pique's complaining about officials as he posted pictures of Barcelona's contentious 1-1 draw with Chelsea in 2009 that saw them progress to the Champions League final. Now Souare has absolutely nothing to do with Chelsea, Barcelona, Spain, Pique or Ramos so why he threw his two cents in remained unknown. Well, on Wednesday morning, the Senegal international wanted to clear matters up as he took to Twitter yet again but, this time, he claimed that his account had been hacked and the strange reply to Pique did not come from him. https://twitter.com/papesouare/status/854609947467935744 "Hello everyone, I just wanted to inform you that my Twitter account was hacked yesterday and the words that were said or the photo that was shared does not come from me," Souare wrote. "My team finally managed to recover the account, I'm still sorry for the inconvenience." Now we can't say for sure whether the left-back's account was hacked or not but Souare's followers certainly had their opinions.
