Serbia's Milena Matovic fell short of Reid's remarkable resilience and skill, with the GB boxer winning 3-2 in the light-middleweight semi-final.

Thomas on the other hand triumphed 5-0, dominating Azerbaijan's Mahammad Abdullayev in the men's super-heavyweight division.

Fellow British boxers Callum Makin and Dimeji Shittu also secured medals in the men's middleweight and light-heavyweight categories respectively, after well-deserved quarter-final wins.

Reid, who secured a silver medal at the latest Commonwealth Games, was behind after the first round against Matovic but won the second unanimously and did enough in the third to seal victory at the Asics Arena Sports Hall in Sofia, Bulgaria.

"It was a really good bout. She's a really good girl and I hope we get to share the ring again one day," Reid said.

"On to the next. Each bout's gone better, each opponent's gotten better and I'll be boxing the best out of the weight category in two days' time."

The 28 year-old will face Turkey's Busenaz Surmeneli in Friday's final, after Surmeneli beat Russia's Nadezhda Golubeva 3-2.

Thomas, the 21 year-old Commonwealth gold medallist, will face Russia's David Surov in his final after Surov beat Austria's Ahmed Hagag 5-0, promising for a well balanced between the two fighters.

Damar's 33-5 record should prove as an interesting head-to-head, facing Surov's 31-2 record, promising to be an interesting matchup between two similar fighting styles.

Shittu, who had to settle for Commonwealth silver in August after a controversial defeat by India's Ankush Panghal, sealed his European medal with a 5-0 win over Austria's Lucky Aimufua and fights Russia's Cheerav Ashalaev on Thursday for a place in the final.

"Last time I brawled, now I want to show that I can box," he said.
