Harry Kane is reportedly prepared to pay as much as £20m to buy himself out of his Spurs contract as talks between the north London club and Bayern Munich continue.
Bayern have already had three bids for the forward rejected but still remain in pole position to sign the England international.
Spurs refuse to accept any offer below their £100m valuation while Bayern aren't prepared to pay £85m for a player who has less than 12 months on his contract.
Kane has shown no desire to sign a new deal and according to BILD, may consider taking matters into his own hands if talks continue to stall.
The German media outlet claim that the 30-year-old could 'buy himself free' by giving up a sizeable fee of his salary, which is estimated to be in the region of £20.6m-a-year.
This would be enough to settle the difference between Bayern and Spurs, making negotiations between the two easier.
If a deal is completed and Spurs are able to sell the Premier League's second-highest leading scorer, the Daily Mail are reporting that Spurs may use some of the funds to sign Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson.
