Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing a third bid for Harry Kane

Ange Postecoglou was left unimpressed with one reporter’s attempt at humour after he held up a Bayern Munich shirt with Harry Kane’s name on the back.

Kane’s future at Tottenham is uncertain and reports have claimed that the German champions will go back in for a third bid after seeing their previous two offers rejected.

Spurs are doing everything they can to try and convince their main talisman – who’s contract expires at the end of the season – to stay and have reportedly offered him a bumper contract, which includes a non-playing role for when he retires.

Uncertainty over where Kane will be has dominated Postecoglou’s first few weeks at Spurs but he couldn’t hide his frustrations after one reporter seemingly took it too far.

“Yesterday you said you weren’t that relaxed about the Harry situation, what is your feeling today?” Bild reporter started off by saying.

Postecoglou then replied: “That was two days ago and nothing has changed,” prompting the journalist to unveil the Bayern shirt, with Kane’s name and the number nine on the back.

“What does that look like?’ the reporter asked. “It looks quite good, no?”

Unable to hide his anger, the ex-Celtic boss said: “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Did you get a good laugh? Got what you got? Maybe? Very good, you came a long way for that, thank you.”

Evidently furious with the behaviour, Postecoglou then used an answer on his time at Spurs so far to aim another dig at Bayern.

“We’re in the early part of it,” he said.”‘It’s a massive football club, a massive opportunity and a massive challenge here. That’s what we’ll try to do, bring success to one of the biggest football clubs in the world, big enough to make up fake jumpers to be a presence.”
