Kane is a keen golfer in his spare time

Harry Kane has refused to rule out a career in golf once his playing days are over.

The Tottenham Hotspur and England captain is now a scratch golfer and regularly spends most of his time on the course when away from the football pitch.

American Football is also another one of his hobbies and at the end of the season claimed he wanted to win a trio of major sporting events.

“I guess the ideal career would be a World Cup, a Super Bowl and maybe a Masters green jacket,” he joked.

‘Never say never’

But when asked what the future may hold once he officially hangs up the boots for good, the 28-year-old refused to rule out becoming a professional footballer – however he admitted that he would require more practice to be on par with golfs elite.

“I think that’s a long way away, but never say never,” he said, as per the Independent.

“I’m way off where the pros are at the moment.

“I know that for sure. I’m just concentrating on football. Golf is a great hobby to have to get away from football.”

Kane set to play in tournament along with a host of sporting stars

Kane would follow in the foot steps of several other former sports stars that have gone on to play such as former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who has a number of PGA Tour appearances to his name. NBA star Steph Curry has also played, featuring on the Korn Ferry Tour, a level below the PGA ranks.

The free-scoring forward is also set to make an appearance at the Icons Series at the end of the month at Liberty National in New Jersey in a Ryder Cup-style format.

He will feature alongside a plethora of other sporting talent such as boxer Canelo Alvarez, legendary swimmer Michael Phelps, cricketers Ricky Ponting and Brian Lara as well as Premier League duo James Milner and Pep Guardiola.
