Goran Bunjevcevic, the former Tottenham defender, has died aged 45
Bunjevcevic, who was elected to the board of the Serbian FA in 2016, had suffered a stroke in April of this year. He had been in a coma ever since.
During his playing career, Bunjevcevic played for Red Star Belgrade, making over 100 appearances for the club. He joined Tottenham following the departure of Sol Campbell to Arsenal in 2001, spending five years at White Hart Lane.
He had undergone emergency surgery following his stroke but never regained consciousness. His death was announced by Red Star on Thursday night.
