Geraint Thomas became the third brit to win the Tour de France today, joining Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome on the list of cyclists from these shores to achieve the feat.
The Welshman crossed the finish line at Paris' Champs-Elysees arm in arm with Chris Froome as he secured his Toure de France victory after three weeks of racing.
Alexander Kristoff won the final sprint, beating Dutchman Tom Dumoulin by one minute 51 seconds, with Froome third.
Thomas had built up a lead over the previous twenty stages and tour tradition dictates that the yellow jersey is not contested on the final day.
"When I rode on the Champs-Elysees for the first time in 2007, that was insane - just to finish the race and just to be a part of it," Thomas told ITV.
"To now be riding round winning it is just incredible. It's just a whirlwind. I seem to be floating around on cloud nine.
"Maybe when I'm 70, sat in a corner of a pub telling some 18-year-old what I used to be, it will sink in. It's incredible, the stuff of dreams."
To wrap up his victory speech, Thomas exclaimed 'Vive le Tour!" before dropping the mic in style, which went down a storm with his fans.
