Gary Neville has the perfect reply as Wayne Rooney jokes about using his golf shoes

Any plans Gary Neville had for a coaching career appear to be on hold for the moment.

As we all know, his spell at Valencia didn't pan out too well, nor did England's Euro 2016 campaign, where the former Manchester United full-back had been assistant to manager Roy Hodgson. With Hodgson swiftly resigning following the last-16 defeat to Iceland, Neville also left his position as a coach with the national side. With Sam Allardyce's Gareth Southgate's England team preparing to face Malta in a World Cup qualifier this weekend, Wayne Rooney took time out of his day to tweet Neville, telling him that he'd made use of the golf shoes he'd left behind having left his England role. https://twitter.com/WayneRooney/status/783675592604524544?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Reading between the lines (all one and a half of them), many have interpreted this as Rooney's way of having a laugh at his former Manchester United club mate.
