Salford goalkeeper Max Crocombe simply couldn’t hold it in for the remaining five minutes of his side’s National League North meeting against Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
As the final moments ticked away, with Salford enjoying a 2-1 lead, nature called and Crocombe answered as he reportedly proceeded to urinate on the pitch.

Once the referee was made aware of the offence, he promptly gave Crocombe his marching orders and Salford midfielder Richie Allen had to see the game out in nets.
Fortunately for Crocombe, his side held out for the victory and saved him any more blushes but it will still go down as one of the more unusual red cards in recent memory.
Given the nature of the dismissal, of course Gary Lineker got involved to give his (number) two cents.

Lineker infamously lost control of his bowels during a World Cup clash with Ireland in 1990 and while the former England forward kept that story to himself for several years, he now speaks openly about his little accident.
“I’ve never admitted to it, but it’s true,” Lineker told the BBC in an interview to mark his 50th birthday. “It was a World Cup game. It’s filmed, I’ve seen it but unless you know (what was happening) you wouldn’t know.
“I was not very well, I was poorly at half time but I carried on.
“The ball went down the left hand side, I did try to tackle someone, I stretched and then I relaxed myself. I was very fortunate it rained that night and I could do something about it. It was messy, it just came out, it happened. How much detail do you want?
“It’s true; it was the opening game of the 1990 World Cup against the Republic of Ireland. You can see me rubbing the ground like a dog; it was the most horrendous experience of my life, but I tell you I never found so much space in a game than I did that night after that happened.”
