Gary Lineker has apologised to James Milner on Twitter, saying he has changed his mind about the midfielder after watching his performance in Liverpool's 2-1 win at Tottenham.
Liverpool continued their unbeaten start to the season with goals from Gini Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino to down Spurs at Wembley.
Milner's display stood out in particular, with the 32-year-old catching the eye of Lineker and causing him to reevaluate his opinion.
The Match of the Day presenter tweeted: "I once tweeted that I didn't really know what James Milner was on the football pitch. He's a terrific, versatile and intelligent footballer. My bad."

Lineker's reassessment of Milner underlines the midfielder's influential role at Anfield as he continues to offer versatility to Jurgen Klopp.
So far this season, he has started all five of Liverpool's Premier League matches, bagging himself one goal and two assists.
Milner recently became only the fourth player to make 100 Premier League appearances for three different clubs - Liverpool, Manchester City, and Aston Villa.
He also responded to Lineker's tweet, with an equally witty remark about his media work.
