There was once a time when Adriano was one of the most feared strikers on the planet.

The Brazilian, who played for Inter Milan, was tipped to emulate his countryman, Ronaldo. Things didn't quite work out for him in Italy, and he eventually found himself back in Brazil, before calling time on his career two years ago. After pictures emerged of him looking out of shape, a return to football seemed a long, long way away. https://twitter.com/WillAnnear/status/590217543970861056 However, hot on the heels of Stuart Pearce, Adriano has now decided to resurrect his playing career. Bizarrely, the striker has joined Miami United F.C - who play in the fourth tier National Premier Soccer League in the United States. https://twitter.com/miamiunitedfc/status/693154668579528705 It may be a far cry from the San Siro, but at least he's back in the game.
