Forget Griezmann, Kluivert, Dybala, Pulisic – Mourinho gives update on summer transfer plans

Great news for Manchester United's rivals

This should finally put that Griezmann talk to bed once and for all.

And the Dybala stuff. Oh, and while we’re at it, you can also ignore any stories you read about Manchester United trying to sign Pulisic or Kluivert in the months ahead, too.

Yep, all those players have been linked – some more strongly than others – with moves to Old Trafford in the last year. None of them will be arriving. At least not before next season.

But don’t just take that from us, take it from Jose Mourinho himself. Speaking after the win over Huddersfield Town at the weekend, the United boss was asked about how he intended to use newest recruit Alexis Sanchez.

Having explained that the Chilean could play a number of positions in the United attack, Mourinho also reminded reporters that he now had plenty of forwards at his disposal, many of which could switch positions. As a result of this, he explained that he would not be moving for any attacking players before next season.

“I don’t want attacking players so don’t speak about attacking players that are coming because nobody is coming here,” he said.

“We have Mata, Lukaku, Rashford, Martial, Alexis – I don’t want attacking players so speculation in the summer, you have to go to other areas.”

So, that’s definitely the end of that one, right? Something tells us this won’t put an end to such transfer speculation.
