Vicente Aparicio was a die-hard Valencia fan and season-ticket holder who loved his team

In his 50s, however, he lost his sight. But that didn't stop him attending games at the Estadio Mestalla. He kept his season ticket, and kept coming to matches, to enjoy the atmosphere of the team he loved so much. Football is often more about just the football, especially actually going to a match, and Vicente wanted to keep that going. Sadly, Vicente passed away two years ago. But as part of Valencia's centenary year celebrations, that wanted to do something special to honour the memory of this special supporter. The club has now erected a statue of Vicente, in his seat, in the Mestalla. https://twitter.com/THFC_EmmaD/status/1135228446064435202 A video has also been uploaded featuring Vicente's son talking about his father's love of football, and showing the installation of the statue. Be warned, it is a real tearjerker.
