Roma have reportedly offered Jose Mourinho a three year contract

Or, he could be, following the news that Serie A club AS Roma have offered Jose Mourinho a three-year contract to return to the world of football management, as reported by L'Equipe. The Portuguese tactician has been without a job since being sacked by Manchester United on December 18 last year. He will, however, only accept the role with the giallorossi if the club manages to qualify for the Champions League. Roma currently occupy fifth in Serie A on 58 points whilst this season's surprise package, Atalanta, sit one point ahead of them with only four games to play. Perhaps surprisingly given how his tenure at United ended the Italian side appear to have competition for the Portuguese, as both Serie A rivals (and Mourinho's former club) Inter Milan and PSG have sounded him out as a potential hire. Again according to L'Equipe, Mourinho has been lobbying for the PSG job and made himself 'available' to the Qatari-owned team should they decide to sack Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season. Inter, meanwhile, have another former Premier League-winning Chelsea manager on their shortlist in the shape of Antonio Conte. Their CEO Beppe Marotta has allegedly held talks with Conte although Mourinho could still prove to be their preference given his strong relationship with the club.
