An old tweet of Shearer’s has resurfaced

Arsenal fans are accusing Alan Shearer of hypocrisy after his x-rated tweet following the controversial decision to award Paris Saint-Germain a penalty in their 1-1 draw against Newcastle.

Eddie Howe’s side were on the verge of pulling off a famous win in the French capital thanks to Alexander Isak’s first half goal that would’ve seen the Magpies move into second of Group F and push PSG down into third.

With just seconds to go however, play was paused after PSG’s players accused Tino Livramento handling the ball.

Replays seemed to show that the ball hit the chest of Livramento before bouncing up onto his arm from close range.

Shearer lamented the decision online, tweeting: “Do me a f*****g favour man. What a load of s**t. #VAR”.

Kylian Mbappe went on to equalise from the spot leaving Newcastle needing to beat AC Milan and PSG to drop points at Borussia Dortmund in the final group game.

Rival fans were quick to pull up a previous comment made by Shearer after Newcastle’s 1-0 win over Arsenal earlier in the season after Anthony Gordon’s goal was awarded following a lengthy look by VAR.

Shearer took to X after that match to post: “Well done ref. You’re the man.”

“Oh how the turn tables,” wrote one fan.

“karma is so sweet,” said a second.

A third person commented: “Life comes at you fast.

“Something about glass house and stone…” added a fourth.
