Paul Pogba will not play for Manchester United against Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon.
The French midfielder's poor form has been the subject of much discussion recently, with some reports suggesting the player is becoming unsettled at United after failing to play 90 minutes in the club's last three games against Tottenham, Huddersfield and Newcastle.
Speaking on Friday, Jose Mourinho played down talk of a rift between him and the player and insisted Pogba would play in the FA Cup game with the Terriers.
This, however, has since proven not to be the case. Shortly after midday on Saturday it was confirmed that Pogba was unwell and would not feature and that youngster Ethan Hamilton would replace him in the match day squad.
Naturally, many interpreted Pogba's omission as being a further sign that all was not well between him and his manager.
Within a couple of hours of the news breaking, Pogba used his Twitter account that he 'needs to get better' - presumably a reference to his health, not his recent form.
'Gutted I won't be at Huddersfield, but I need to get better,' the tweet read. He signed off by wishing his teammates luck.

United lost their first meeting of the season with Huddersfield in October. They won the return match at Old Trafford two weeks ago 2-0, with Pogba coming on as a substitute in the game.
