Some signings are, however, at least a couple years away. before becoming a genuine reality. One of those might just be Erling Haaland, who, according to AS, is on their wishlist. The 21-year-old has been in exceptional form during his time at Borussia Dortmund, having scored 69 goals in 69 games and is one of the most sought-after players in the world. The Norwegian is expected to leave the Bundesliga club next summer after his £66 million release clause activates in the process, and is likely to start a continent-wide bidding war. For Newcastle though, that figure is seen as light change these days and they'd easily be able to pay it, they'd just probably have quite a job of persuading him to move to the North East. It will be amazing to see who does actually come through the door at Newcastle in the years to come and whilst supporters can dream big, for now, Haaland has bigger ambitions than joining a Premier League relegation fight.
