Money well spent

Harry Kane’s start to life in the Bundesliga has gone, well, exactly how you imagined it to go.

Bayern Munich signed the long-time Spurs forward for a fee of £86m and haven’y looked back since as the England captain scores goals for fun.

So far, the 30-year-old has 21 goals and seven assists in all competitions for Bayern, including three hat-tricks and a goal from the half-way line in their win against Darmstadt.

His record is so impressive that the forward needs to score just 13 more goals to trigger a special clause in his £400k-a-week deal.

Kane’s contract reportedly contains a deal that includes “scorer-points”.

According to BILD, Kane will receive a payment of €250,000 [£218,000] if he scores more than 40 scorer-points across all competitions in a single season.

Given that he’s on 28 already, safe to say he’s probably going to achieve that.

It’s not the only clause that involves Kane, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy revealing that the club have a buy-back clause in the England international’s contract.

Speaking back at a fan forum earlier this year, he said: “There is a buy-back clause,” before refusing to expand on the situation.
