They took expensive jewellery and watches
Gerard Piqué and Shakira were the victims of burglary this morning.
The couple, who live in Esplugues de Llobregat in Barcelona, lost several expensive watches and pieces of jewellery as the thieves took advantage of a storm and entered their empty property undetected. No violence occurred during the invasion.
Piqué took advantage of his day off from training with the Spain squad to surprise his family while Shakira is on tour in Germany.
The Catalan police have opened an investigation to find the burglars.
