David Silva is “eternally grateful” as his prematurely-born son finally leaves hospital after five months

This is a truly heart-warming moment

It’s fair to say it has been a great season for Manchester City. As well as winning the league, they became the first team to get 100 points in a single Premeir League season – as well as smashing a host of other records, including largest title-winning margin, and largest positive goal difference. But for David Silva, something much more important than football was happening. Silva’s baby son Mateo was born prematurely in December, and Silva missed first team action this season, as he stayed in Spain as Mateo fought for his life.
