Frank Lampard appointed Derby County manager

The position is Lampard's first in management

Derby County have appointed former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard as manager after the departure of Gary Rowett to Stoke City. The 39-year-old has been working as a pundit with the BBC and BT Sport since finishing his playing career in 2016 at New York City FC. His predecessor, Rowett, brought the team to the Championship play-offs last season, where they were eliminated by eventual play-off winners Fulham.
