They're enjoying their first league title at Manchester City
Manchester City won their first Premier League title under Pep Guardiola this afternoon as second placed Manchester United suffered a 1-0 defeat to bottom of the table West Brom.
This result leaves City 16 points clear of their local rivals with only five games remaining, making it mathematically impossible for United to catch them.
The City players will surely have preferred to lift the secure the title by winning a game of their own - say, last weekend against Manchester United - but are obviously not complaining.
Benjamin Mendy and Kyle Walker in particular are making the most of the moment, engaging in a hilarious Twitter exchange in which they both displayed a strong choice of GIFs.
Mendy has been ruled out for most of the season through injury, while Walker has been a key figure in taking City up a level from last season, providing the dynamism that City were crying out for last season up and down the right flank.
Next season the pair will relish the opportunity to play together again, and will frighten opposition defences as well as halt opposition attacks. They evidently have a great relationship already, as shown in this back and forth on Twitter just after United handed them their first Premier League title under Pep Guardiola.
