Fans shamelessly admit to switching allegiances from Manchester United and Liverpool to Leicester City

It’s 2016 and this is the $tate of modern £ootball.

Forget tribalism or the partisan love you have for your one and only club, these days it’s all about glory-hunting and swapping your team as often as you change your official megastore socks.

The BBC have been covering the growing popularity of Leicester City, particularly in Thailand where they are referred to as the ‘Siamese Foxes’ due to their Thai owners, King Power.

It is of course no bad thing that the East Midlands club are gaining fans and broadening their appeal.

But to many traditional supporters – both at home and abroad – it is somewhat galling to hear people casually speak about transferring their allegiances.

The video below features new Leicester fans who have no qualms about admitting their change of devotion from the likes of Man United and Liverpool. It’s all a bit depressing, if hardly surprising…
