The European Super League is set to launch next September as the competition's CEO promises it will be 'a better football experience'.

The German CEO hired for the project has said that lowering television rights and offering a better product are two of his objectives.
He said: "We are looking at new technologies and the business model based on them because we believe that football fans deserve a better and more affordable experience on their screens.”
It is understood that the CEO believes the new format of the Champions League has not lived up to people’s expectations which could help provide more of an appetite for the new competition.
He made reference to Bayern's recent thrashing of Dinamo Zagreb (9-2) and Borussia Dortmund of Gasglow's Celtic (7-1).
He said: "In our opinion, matches will be more interesting as long as they are played with the maximum at stake on equal terms. That is why we are in favour of a classic La Liga format with a home and away and followed by a play-off".
The first proposal of a European Super League came in 2021 and entailed 20 teams, 15 of which were founding members.
When it was announced in April 2021 it was met with widespread criticism from fans, players, managers and football clubs causing several founding clubs to withdraw including Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool.
