Enzo Fernandez has apologised to his Chelsea teammates after the Argentinian team chants.
Upon joining the squad in the United States yesterday, Fernandez instantly apologised to the players.
It is understood that the apology has then been accepted, with Fernandez already training with the squad and having lunch with teammates.
Furthermore, the Argentinian international has told Chelsea that he will be making a significant contribution to an anti-discrimination charity, with the club also matching the contribution.
Resultantly, talks are underway in regards to the best place to donate the funds.
Since his public social media apology, Fernandez has been in touch with a number of different Chelsea players.
However, yesterday was the first opportunity to apologise in person.
There was a consultation process with the Chelsea players, with Reece James and Axel Disasi understood to be key figures.
Initially, the club had instigated a disciplinary process against the player. Now, the matter is closed with the player being proactive in his apologies in public and private.
A FIFA investigation into the incident is continuing.
