Didn't have much to do but was solid when called upon.

Clyne - 7

Tenacious and eager to please. Didn't let himself down.

Cahill - 7

Generally fine, although was pulled out of position at times.

Smalling - 9

Man of the Match. Solid and composed. His best game for England.

Shaw - 8

Was a constant threat down the left-side with some excellent crosses.

Milner - 8

Mr. Reliable. Worked his socks off and made vital contributions at both ends

Shelvey -6

Not awful but not great. It's early days and he'll have better nights.

Oxlade-Chamberlain - 5

Very quiet. He didn't contribute much.

Rooney - 7

Perhaps a tad generous but it was a fine penalty and he made history, so...

Sterling - 5

He's starting to look great for City, he contributed little on the night.

Looked confident and composed during his time on the pitch.

Kane - 8

Seemed to reenergise England, and of course he scored another goal.

Barkley - 6

Not it his fault, but rather wasted playing deep. He did okay.
