England players in line for huge bonus if they win the Euros

Whilst there is lots of speculation around Southgate’s future with the England team and talk of a knighthood, should they beat Spain tonight they are in for a nice pay packet.

The Three Lions beat the Netherlands 2-1 in a much improved performance in the semi-final, that last-gasp goal from substitute Ollie Watkins securing their place in the final.

Previously in the tournament, they had struggled against Slovakia and Switzerland but they are now ninety minutes away from achieving something no England men’s team has achieved before.

Should they win tonight, it won’t just be the cup they’re bringing home as all 26 players are in line for a nice bonus.

According to The Sun the players could walk away with a combined £1 billion in commercial deals and endorsements as their marketability is predicted to soar.

Jude Bellingham could see his own earnings increase by £400 million as he is already one of the most marketable players in the world before this tournament began.

His brand presence is expected to exceed that of David Beckham.

Brands expert Marcel Knobil told the Sun: “Jude has all the ingredients to overtake David Beckham's £372m by the end of his career. He could be looking at £50million earnings annually with his Real Madrid salary plus sponsorships and endorsements. That amasses into the hundreds of millions. 

“Jude will need the same business acumen and longevity of his playing career as Beckham. But he is right at the top of the world game from such a young age and is on a trajectory similar to Ronaldo. He's got everything.”

Captain Harry Kane, Phil Foden, Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer and Bukayo Saka could all earn up to £100 million.

A win could secure them an extra £50,000 a week. With youngsters such as Saka, Mainoo, Foden and Palmer still having a long career ahead of them, over the next decade they could earn an extra £25 million.

Meanwhile, Gareth Southgate has already secured a bonus of £2 million just for getting to the final. Earlier in the week it was reported that he will take home a £4 million bonus should his side beat Spain.
