EA have made the decision to remove a popular formation from EA FC 25 on Ultimate Team, a new report has revealed.
The highly anticipated release is due in September and tweaks have been made by EA in an aim to improve the user's experience.
However, the formation removed is highly popular with players and may perhaps not be a well liked decision.
The formation in question is the 4-3-2-1, featuring two centre forwards playing behind a central striker.
Part of the reason behind the removal is most likely because of the fact that the centre forward position has also been removed from EA FC, which will spark controversy among players.
In EA FC 24, fans were seen to be critical of the 4-3-2-1 system as it provided a lot more balance in the competitive Champions mode in comparison to other formations.
However, it remains unknown if the negative reaction sparked played any role in EA's decision to remove the formation.
Despite being utilised in real life football, the left wing-back and right wing-back positions have been also been axed from the game.
Instead, they will be assigned as players roles, with players still having the option to use the 5-at-the-back formations.
