Arsenal, meanwhile, are hoping to sign the Spaniard as a long-term replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey, whose contract is up at the end of the season. Ramsey looks likely to sign a pre-contract with Juventus this January before joining the Serie A side in the summer on a free transfer. Suarez will only cost Arsenal a reported £14m due to his status at Barcelona, but the 24-year-old still has a lot to give and has worked under Gunners boss Unai Emery at Sevilla.
