Tottenham's Dele Alli has been named as the PFA Young Player of the Year.

The 21-year-old, who was singled out for praise earlier in the night by PFA Merit Award winner David Beckham, beat Spurs teammate Harry Kane to the award, with Everton's Romelu Lukaku in third place. Alli moved to White Hart Lane from MK Dons in 2015, was widely considered unfortunate not to have been nominated for the main PFA award after impressing throughout the season. On receiving the award, Alli praised his manager Mauricio Pochettino for helping him in his career, as well as his teammates.
