United delivered another poor performance
David De Gea didn’t hold back in his assessment of Manchester United’s performance after they fell to defeat against Everton on Saturday.
Anthony Gordon scored the only goal of the game in the first half after his effort took a deflection off Harry Maguire to give Frank Lampard’s side a huge boost in their fight for survival.

As for United, it was another timid display to add to a list of poor performances, as their hopes of securing a place in the Champions League continue to fade away with each week that passes by.
De Gea was heavily critical of United’s performance
When asked for his verdict on the defeat at Goodison Park, United goalkeeper De Gea provided a damning assessment of his teammates’ display – particularly given Everton had played on Wednesday night at Burnley.
“We knew before the game how difficult it is to come here even though they’re not in the best of form right now,” he said.
“They played with more desire. They played on Wednesday, they were tired, they were a bit nervous, you could feel it, and even with that we lose the game.
“It’s a disgrace from us to be honest.”

The Spaniard admitted it would be difficult to finish in the top four
The Spaniard also highlighted his side’s lack of creativity, and conceded that it will be an uphill challenge for United to reach the top four after suffering their eighth defeat of the season.
“We don’t score and we don’t create, that’s the problem,” he added.
“I don’t know what to say to be honest. We are not good enough, we’re not good enough, that’s for sure.
“It’s going to be very difficult to get top four.”
The win for Everton means they move four points clear ahead of 18th placed Burnley – who face Norwich City on Sunday – while Ralf Rangnick’s side remain seventh in the table, three points behind Tottenham who are in fourth.
