David Price calls out Anthony Joshua as doubts emerge over Wladimir Klitschko bout

Liverpool boxer David Price has seen a potential title fight present itself, and he's not going to let it go in a hurry.

Price has emerged as a potential opponent for Anthony Joshua after a sanctioning snafu threatened to put a stop to the IBF heavyweight champion's potential bout with Wladimir Klitschko. "You won't see me shying away from challenging Anthony Joshua. He is just a human being and not the man a lot of people are convinced he is. "He is not 'The Terminator', he's just a man. I haven't heard from anyone yet but I hope they don't take the easy option."

It appears as though the main hold-up in the proposed Joshua-Klitschko superfight concerns the WBA, with the body stalling and Klitschko reluctant to fight unless that belt is on the line, the Daily Mail reports. As a result, Joshua's next fight has already been pushed back from November 26 to December 10, seemingly to allow Klitschko time to come to a decision, but a number of other potential opponents have been earmarked. In addition to Price, other names in the frame include former heavyweight title challenger Bryant Jennings, reigning European heavyweight champion Kubrat Pulev, Éric Molina and Alexander Ustinov.
