Dani Alves shows Barcelona what they’re missing with impressively bad dive

Oh mate

JOE

Barcelona’s Champions League comeback against Paris Saint-Germain was tainted for some by the Luis Suarez dive which won the Catalans a late penalty at Camp Nou.

But it’s not just current Barça players who are capable of going to ground easily.

Dani Alves won more than a dozen domestic and European titles during his time at the club, including three Champions League victories in 2009, 2011 and 2015.

He is now playing his football in Italy with Juventus, however, and has been getting some stick for not realising that things are done a little differently in Serie A.

During Juve’s 1-0 win at Sampdoria, which came courtesy of an early goal from Chelsea loanee Juan Cuadrado, Alves had a late coming-together with Samp defender Vasco Regini.

His new club are set to take on his former employers in the Champions League quarter-finals, so perhaps we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt by suggesting he might have been practising for that game.

Yes, we’re being very generous, but what else can you do when presented with this.

Juventus restored their 10-point lead at the top of Serie A with the victory, but was it really worth it?

Probably.
