Dan Carter pays heartfelt tribute to the late Jonah Lomu

“Gone way too soon my brother.”

The world of sport woke up this morning to the shocking news that one of the all-time rugby greats, Jonah Lomu, had sadly passed away. Details of Lomu’s death remain unclear but it was sudden and unexpected with Lomu only having arrived back in Auckland from abroad on Tuesday. The All-Blacks legend had suffered with a rare kidney disease known as nephrotic syndrome since hanging up his boots in 2002. He underwent a kidney transplant in 2004 and had been on dialysis treatment for the last 10 years.
